My Crazy Dad!

Emily visiting her cousins!

This week Emily is visiting her cousins in Montgomery at my parent's house. The second we walked in the door Emily's 5 year old cousin, Sarah couldn't wait to hold her!


Well we were going to put pictures of Sam and Sawyer on here also but my sister and I had the bright idea of trying to put her camera card in one of the card reader slots in my laptop and now it's stuck! So we have a computer guy going to try to remove it on Thursday . . . so no pictures right now.

Happy Anniversary!

Joe and I celebrated our 12th anniversary today! We visited the new World of Coke in Atlanta. Here we are posing with the Coca Cola polar bear. Emily enjoyed herself as well! We tried lots of flavors of coke from all over the world. That evening our friend Tara kept Emily while we went to see Ocean's Thirteen and had dinner at the Atlantic Seafood Restaurant . . . yummy! We had a great day together.

Having an Audience

Each night when I prepare supper now a days I have an audience watching my every move . . . Bud used to stand right beside me searching the ground in case I dropped anything on the floor . . . but now he sits next to Emily and watches with her as I prepare dinner:

Staying Home!

Emily stayed at home with me today and I worked while she took her naps. . . she's such a good sleeper!

5 Months Old!!

Happy Father's Day!

We enjoyed Joe's first Father's Day today. Emily gave him her hand and foot prints from when she was 5 weeks old (thanks PawPaw and DeeDee). Hope you all had an enjoyable Father's Day as well.

Fun Friday

Well I've made it thru one week of blogging. Thanks for the comments. Today Emily enjoyed her animal mobile while I put up laundry. When I went into her room this morning she was on her tummy and fighting mad because she couldn't get turned back over : )

Checking each other out . . .

I must say there is nothing quite like just looking at your baby and having her look back at you. I just love watching Emily check out my face and just stare at me and smile. She has brought us a lot of joy!
Sometimes I get so busy during the day that I realize I've been with Emily for several hours and I've talked to her and sang to her but haven't slowed down to just look at each other. Today was a nice time to stop and do just that. May God remind me to do that every day and to be thankful for the sweet baby He has given us.

Emily loves her new book!

I bought Emily a new book yesterday that she can chew on since she has been teething and I must say that she really likes it! What do you think?

New to the Blogging World

Hello there! This is my first post on my blog! Just to get started we had a baby girl on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 8:41 a.m. Emily weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. Here is a picture of her the day we brought her home from the hospital:

Because I'm a little behind on starting a blog about our new life with Emily I wanted to show you a few more pictures as she has grown. Here she is at one month old:
