Random

Last week I did a little more sewing:
Here's what Emily does while I work or sew.  She loves to line all her toys up together.  This makes it really hard on Abigail though because Emily has all her toys she wants left alone : )

Abigail really enjoys reading books to herself.  She pulled her chair into our room so she can read books while we get ready:
She also has to grab a book to read every time she goes to the bathroom.  She has been doing ok on the potty training.  We have moved to Pull Ups because of the number of accidents she was having.  I'm just glad that probably 60% of the time she goes on the potty.  It's still a lot easier than diapers so we'll take it!

Yesterday we ran some errands after church and here's what entertained the girls while Joe looked at some cables we needed to buy:
And last night I finally caved and let this baby paint!  She patiently watched her sister paint yesterday so after Emily was done, I let her have at it since we didn't have to stress about all the paint colors getting mixed up.  She had a great time and did a good job only getting paint on the paper:

Field Day

We had Field Day at school today.  Each class had their own color t-shirts and each class moved to the different game stations.  I was in charge of the very important chalk and bubbles station : )
Joe had off today due to afternoon doctor visits so he went around taking pics of everything.  Here is Abigail's class at the jump house:

Emily's class going to their first station:

At this station you had to get an egg out of the pool . . .

and match the colored egg to the color in the egg carton:

 Popsicle station:
 Relay race:

 Patiently waiting for their popsicles:

At this station you had to take your sponge to the big bucket and squeeze it full of water and then run it back to your team's bucket to squeeze the water out:

Since I was the bad parent that didn't bring my kids a jacket, they let Abigail borrow this one.  I had no idea how cold it was going to be today:

After all the activities, everyone went to the fellowship hall for a hot dog lunch:

Plants

Yesterday we planted some flowers in a flower pot.  I've never done this before so let's see how long I keep them alive : )  Emily helped pick out which flowers to plant:

Abigail got bored watching us dig around in the dirt so she went to play:
 Watering the plants . . .
In our second pot we planted some seeds.  Hopefully we will get some flowers.  After we planted them, Joe caught Abigail slinging the dirt out of this pot with her toy shovel.  When he caught her she quickly threw the shovel down and said, "I not do anything." . . . little stinker!  So we added some more seeds just in case.  We will either have 1 flower or 100 trying to grow out of this one pot : )
After dinner we had some reading time before bed . . .

Sewing

With every new season I get in the mood to sew some clothes.  This week I finished these outfits for the girls:
Made these burp cloths for a friend's baby shower:
And had a doll clothes order . . .
Friday is normally errand day so this morning we enjoyed some donuts:
and then the girls got their hair cut:

They were running a special where they got a haircut and their nails painted for $10 each.  So for $20 both girls got their hair cut . . . and Abigail got to have nail polish for the first time:

We finished the morning with a trip to W@l-M@rt and Ch/ck F/l A!!
