Bye Bye Old Faithfuls

Well after using this washer and dryer for 13 years it's time to say goodbye. This is now the second item that we bought when we first got married that we are letting go . . . first our couch and now our Kenmore!! I washed our last load of clothes in these last night:

After two weeks of talking to my friend Michelle, researching on line, and visiting several stores to check prices we are now the proud owners of a Whirlpool Duet Front Load Washer and Dryer. They just delivered them this morning. I'm so excited!!! Now I have to go read the books on how to use them : )

Emily's Activities

I had to show these pictures below. The first one is of Emily hanging out by her toys. She had her feet crossed right before I took the picture. I just thought it was so cute:

I also have another video to share. The first part of the video below is of Emily's progress in her walking this week. The second part of the video is Emily saying ball. Today was the first time I heard her say it so of course I grabbed the camera : ) You might think that the only thing Emily wears are pajamas but I just happened to be filming at night and early in the morning.

Emily's favorite things to do

Here are a few pictures of Emily's favorite things to do during the day. Here she is playing with the pictures of her cousins. She loves to take the picture of Chaz and Sidney all over the house.

Here she is playing in her closet in her room. She usually goes thru the toys and bags that I have in there. I trade out the toys in the living room every few weeks so she doesn't get bored with them but she always finds them in her closet.

Emily is Walking!

Emily has been standing on her own for a few weeks and has taken a step here and there but today she walked several steps all afternoon. I've been trying to get her on video but of course when she sees the camera she comes crawling to me. But tonight I finally got her walking to the kitchen! I can't believe our baby girl is starting to walk.

And if someone offers you a granola bar at our house don't eat one! Emily loves to shake them up and use them as rattles : )

Playing the Piano

Joe's mom is in town this week to stay with Joe's nephew Chaz while John is out of town on business so we had them over for dinner. Chaz plays the piano by picking out songs from hearing them so he played on our piano tonight. Emily enjoyed helping him!

Emily also enjoyed spending time with her Grandmama. She even took a couple of steps for her! She has been taking a step here and there over the last couple of weeks and tonight she did several times. She just doesn't do it enough for me to catch her on camera.

Smile for the camera

Emily definitely knows what the camera is for now. Today when I got it out to take a picture of her in an outfit that some friends gave her, she looked straight up at me and just smiled waiting for me to take the picture. It was hilarious! Emily is heading to the gym now to go for her workout : )
