Milk

Abigail drank whole milk for the first time on Monday. She is used to water in her sippy cup so she spit it out at first. But by dinner time last night she drank almost the whole glass:

So we are now down to her morning bottle and that will be gone when this container of formula is gone : )

I also enjoyed fixing Abigail and Emily the same lunch yesterday (grilled cheese) and Abigail ate what we were having for dinner last night. It sure was nice fixing just 1 supper!!!!!

Roomie Visit

This past weekend my college roommates came to visit for our annual get together. Abigail had been sick with a high fever at the beginning of the week but was thankfully on the mend when they got to town Thursday night. On Saturday we enjoyed going to Auburn for the day and ate at our favorite places, walked around campus, and even went back to the townhouse we lived in together:

and ate dinner at this yummy hole in the wall that is still so good . . .
And of course we had to have lemonade here:

We went to one of the buildings to go to the basement where we all used to hang out together in between classes . . . and it's nothing but offices now : (

We also visited with our friend Tara on Friday night and that was fun to all hang out together:

Fair

On Saturday we went to the state fair with friends. The rides were free from 10 to 11 so we let the kids get on as many rides as possible. Waiting in line for the fair to open:

Emily was a little scared of the rides this year so she chickened out on a couple of them. But she did like the carousel so we rode it twice.

Emily was tired after lunch and wanted to ride around laying down. She even took a nap this afternoon until she rolled off the couch and woke herself up!
We always enjoy walking by all the booths. This year Joe found a Bible tract just for him:
And of course we blew all our money on yummy fair food! I got my usual corn dog and roasted corn. Emily ate half my corn dog though. We are going to have to remember to buy her one next year!

Cousins

Wednesday we went to visit my sister and her family and on Thursday went to their zoo. Sarah and Sam were in school so Sawyer and Emily and Abigail enjoyed the day:
While we were eating our lunch Abigail grabbed a bee in her hand and he stung her. I had to pull the stinger out of her thumb. It was swollen for the rest of the day but by the next day it was fine. Poor thing. Her hands have had trauma to them lately!


It was a short visit but we enjoyed the time spent with aunts, uncles, and cousins! We came home with a bucket of toys for Abigail, a scooter and helmet and two bags full of clothes and shoes for Emily. It sure is nice having a sister who had all her kids ahead of me : ) We love hand me downs! Thanks for a great trip!

Stand Up

Abigail has started standing on her feet. She started pulling up last week and discovered the stairs:
So Joe put the bottom gate up and Abigail was a little disappointed:
By Wednesday, Sept 29 she was pulling up and standing up pretty well:
Abigail's front tooth finally broke the skin yesterday. So Abigail has 3 teeth now!
