Soccer

We are also trying out soccer for the first time.  Their old preschool was offering 6 weeks of soccer for free and you didn't have to buy uniforms so I signed both girls up!  We missed the first game because we were at the beach but made it for the 2nd game on Sunday, the 22nd.  They practice for 30 minutes and then have a game for 30 minutes:

I think Abigail enjoys visiting with her friend Allie Grace more than she likes running on the field:

She also had a great time playing with Harper while Emily had her game:
Emily has a good coach and is really enjoying the game and really trying.  It's been fun to watch!

Tara and Taylor came to watch the game too!

Beach!

For Fall Break we FINALLY got to take the girls to the beach.  Emily was 5 months old the last time we went so this was basically their first time to see the ocean!  Mom and Dad went with us and we had a wonderful time together.  We spent our mornings at the beach, came in for lunch, spent the afternoon at the pool or the beach again and then ate dinner on the balcony.  It was nice staying at the condo and relaxing for dinner.  We did go out one night for seafood before heading home.  Mom and Dad enjoyed themselves as well and asked if we could come back again next year . . . .ok . . . you twisted our arm : )

 Our view from the balcony:
 Some happening 40 year olds!

The water was so nice on Sunday that Emily stayed in the water ALL DAY!  She loved walking out far with Joe and spent the rest of the time looking for seashells in the water.  I'm so glad she got to have that day of calm waters!

All day at the beach wiped them out!

We also got to eat at the famous Lambert's on our way out of town!

Pool Time

This year our pool stayed opened past Labor Day.  We are glad it did since it decided to be hot and humid in September as opposed to all the rain we had in August.  So we all got to enjoy the pool on Saturday.  Joe enjoyed relaxing and the kids enjoyed swimming.  I even swam for a bit as well:

Abigail practiced swimming a little without her life jacket which basically meant that she lunged at me from the steps.  She did practice kicking and using her arms to try to stay above water for little spurts.  And we practiced going under water together while she had on goggles.
