Abigail is 4 Years Old!!!

Abigail turned 4 years old today!

 

Our little spunky girl had fun celebrating today.  I ACTUALLY made these cupcakes that she took to school to share with her friends:

 The teacher told me that she wore her sunglasses all during her party celebration at school : )

 That afternoon she opened gifts from us and grandparents:

 We got her an Aurora doll and dress to match:

 PawPaw and DeeDee got her a jewelry box she could decorate:

 And Grandma and Uncle John sent cards and cash : )

 

She picked out this doctor set with some of her birthday money:

 That evening she picked Mac n Cheese for dinner and we all sang Happy Birthday!

Fall Festival

On Saturday we went to Emily's Fall Festival with our friends the McLelland's.

 

We also went to a birthday party that afternoon for a friend of Abigail's and Harper's:

Field Trip

Emily's class went on a field trip Friday to the zoo.  Joe was a chaperone again this year and had 5 children with him:

They had fun walking around together to see the animals and then met outside the zoo for lunch and then home:

They got to see the baby rhino!

 

 

 

 

 

Abigail on the other hand has been dealing with a cold that has lingered for a couple of weeks.  So I took her to the doctor and they gave her a breathing treatment.  She was a brave girl:

I have to give her an inhaler a few times a day as needed but she has been feeling better.  Just waiting for all the congestion to go away . . .

Abigail also had a couple of days off for a school holiday so we ate lunch with Emily:

 I also got a wild hair one afternoon and cut this bush down that is on the side of our house.  The bush had gotten so overgrown and ugly that I cut it down as far as I could. . . . now it's waiting for Joe to cut down the rest:

Fair

I love the fair!  We have been almost every year since Emily was 9 months old.  It was SO HOT today but we had a fun time watching the girls ride rides.  This was the first year we paid for 2 wrist bands so it was nice to have unlimited rides for both of them rather than keeping up with tickets.  There were no lines for the kids rides so on several of the rides the girls rode them over and over:

 

 

Another fair tradition . . . eating corn dogs for lunch:

 The girls only rode two rides together this year so most of the time I walked around with Abigail and Joe walked around with Emily.  Nemo was Abigail's favorite and she rode it 5 times today : )  Emily's favorite ride was a tug boat ride that twirled around so she rode that one 5 or 6 times.

 The girls rode the carousel with me hanging onto them tightly because they were both skiddish.  But once the ride started Abigail got brave and said she wanted me to stop holding her.  So we had to go back and ride the carousel one more time and Abigail said she didn't want me to hold her at all.  She asked me to sit on the red chair behind her : )  I took this picture and she said, "OK now go sit way back there."

Abigail's school is out for a couple of days so we went to the zoo while Emily was at school.  We had a fun time together:

 This was the first time we got to see the new splash pad that they put in.  I didn't bring a change of clothes so Abigail just ran around and put her hands in the water for a bit:
