This morning she helped me (like always) with my makeup. She decided that Big Bird needed some makeup on too:
And then she tried to put some on herself. She also tried to put some eyeliner on Big Bird's eyes! 
Every day when I watch her do stuff like this I think it can't get any better than that moment . . . and then she'll do something else that makes me laugh or causes me to be amazed. This is such a fun age!We also got a coupon for a FREE kid's meal at "Chick a Life" as Emily likes to call it . . . so I bet you'll never guess where we went for lunch today : ). This restaurant is the most kid friendly place I've ever been to. Twice now the manager has brought us our food to our table, gave Emily an extra toy, and one of the employees always brings me kid's straws, place mats, and handy wipes for clean up. She also came back later and gave me a refill on my drink . . . love it!
Also for the first time today, Emily noticed the playground there. She's never noticed it before but did today. So I took her in there for a few minutes after our meal. There was only one other mom in there with me and about 10 kids . . . one of the kids was so little she could barely walk . . . I'm thinking . . . where in the world is her mother!!!! Anyway, Emily had a good time and cried when I told her it was time to go. Guess I know what we'll be doing now every time we go eat lunch there : )
I've also been attending some "Sew What" classes where I bought my machine. It's a class where you bring whatever projects you are working on and the instructor comes around to help you . . . and if the topic is something you are interested in then everyone gathers around to learn. We've had 2 meetings so far and have so much fun! We've decided to start meeting on a regular basis. These gals are a lot of fun!
