Warm Weather

We have been enjoying GORGEOUS weather the past couple of weeks.  I had to scrounge around quickly to get spring/summer clothes ready for the girls because it got warm so fast.  One day after school we met some friends at a park:
On Friday Emily had her 5 year checkup.  She weighs 37 pounds and is 3 ft 5 inches tall.  She did much better this year with getting her shots.  She cried when the nurse came in but once the shots were done she hopped off the bench and walked to the sucker jar to pick out her sucker.  So much better than last year when she went screaming from the doctor's office that she would NEVER come back to the doctor again : )
On Friday afternoon the girls enjoyed movie and some popcorn:
On Friday night we went to our favorite burger place and the girls got some fun balloon hats:
I also broke down and bought some bubble mixture and the girls had fun on Saturday blowing bubbles in the back yard:

On Sunday afternoon I took Emily to a birthday party that was at a gymnastics gym.  They made an obstacle course for the kids to go thru and Emily had fun (forgive the bad pics . . . . I had to use the camera on my phone):

The last couple of weeks Emily has been excited to help me fold laundry (yippee!).  It's nice at this age when they get super excited about helping with chores AND they are at the age where they can actually help you do stuff instead of slowing you down.  So Emily has been in charge of wash cloths:
She even wanted to hang up her dresses tonight so she got some hangers out of her closet, put her dresses on the hangers, and hung them up!  I'm digging it!

I've been busy working on the girls' Easter dresses.  I decided to smock and make bishop dresses for both of them.  I started them in September : )  I FINALLY finished them last night!!!!  All I have left to do is put buttons on them.  So even if on Easter morning it's 40 degrees outside, the girls will be wearing these dresses with no sweater to cover up all my blood sweat and tears that went into this : )
