Church Carnival
On Sunday afternoon our church preschool had their annual fund raiser/carnival. We bought 50 tickets at the door and within 5 minutes we lost about 30 of our tickets . . . I don't know how we did it . . . but we did. So Joe made a 2nd donation to get more tickets : ) At least it was for a good cause right?

Parties and Friends
Last week we went shopping for some spring clothes for the girls. I tried to find some sandals but haven't found any yet. How hard is it supposed to be to find white sandals that don't look like adult shoes for little people???? We did find some cute flip flops and cr0cs . . . but still on the lookout for sandals. Anyway, I could not resist getting these cute dresses . . . because you know I love it when my girls match:
Abigail didn't have her dress on 5 minutes before she got a pen mark on it . . . that girl that girl! Of course we had to make the obligatory stop at the indoor playground while out shopping:
Now that I finally finished the girls' Easter dresses, I did a little embroidery on some shirts:
On Friday night, Abigail decided to color her face while we were grocery shopping. I think I'm going to have to ban all pens from the house until she's 12!!! See how proud she is of her art work:
On Saturday morning, the girls' wanted to make some cookies . . . so we did. We were eating them by 8:00 a.m. : )

Emily's dance class also received their outfits that they will wear to their recital. The parents took video of their class so we could start practicing at home . . . we'll see how well that goes over at our house : )

Then that afternoon we went to Emily's friend's birthday party at the park:

Warm Weather
We have been enjoying GORGEOUS weather the past couple of weeks. I had to scrounge around quickly to get spring/summer clothes ready for the girls because it got warm so fast. One day after school we met some friends at a park:
On Friday Emily had her 5 year checkup. She weighs 37 pounds and is 3 ft 5 inches tall. She did much better this year with getting her shots. She cried when the nurse came in but once the shots were done she hopped off the bench and walked to the sucker jar to pick out her sucker. So much better than last year when she went screaming from the doctor's office that she would NEVER come back to the doctor again : )
On Friday afternoon the girls enjoyed movie and some popcorn:
On Friday night we went to our favorite burger place and the girls got some fun balloon hats:
I also broke down and bought some bubble mixture and the girls had fun on Saturday blowing bubbles in the back yard:

On Sunday afternoon I took Emily to a birthday party that was at a gymnastics gym. They made an obstacle course for the kids to go thru and Emily had fun (forgive the bad pics . . . . I had to use the camera on my phone):

The last couple of weeks Emily has been excited to help me fold laundry (yippee!). It's nice at this age when they get super excited about helping with chores AND they are at the age where they can actually help you do stuff instead of slowing you down. So Emily has been in charge of wash cloths:
She even wanted to hang up her dresses tonight so she got some hangers out of her closet, put her dresses on the hangers, and hung them up! I'm digging it!
I've been busy working on the girls' Easter dresses. I decided to smock and make bishop dresses for both of them. I started them in September : ) I FINALLY finished them last night!!!! All I have left to do is put buttons on them. So even if on Easter morning it's 40 degrees outside, the girls will be wearing these dresses with no sweater to cover up all my blood sweat and tears that went into this : )

Roomie Reunion
Last weekend I flew to Dallas, TX to spend a couple of days with my college roomies. This is the 8th time we've gotten together and as always had a great time catching up and eating lots of yummy food. I am truly blessed to know these ladies:
While I was gone Joe held down the fort. I'm also thankful that he took a day off of work to allow me time to visit my friends. Joe bought the girls a "zippy" camera to take pictures of their weekend together. I can't WAIT to take the cameras to the store to get the pictures developed. We are still working on finishing one of them before I take them to the store. So more GREAT pics to come of their weekend together : )
Joe looks a bit tired in this pic. I took this picture when I got home on Sunday:
Thanks Abigail! We all appreciate your art . . .

They spent their weekend at the zoo and a fun trip to the mall to eat lunch and buy some fun D|sney stuff : ) Abigail apparently decided to draw a mural on our wall while I was away:

New Place to Play
It has been a while! We have been busy with school and work. The weather has been crazy this winter with one day in the 70s and the next day in the 40s . . . so we have tried to go outside when we can and play inside when we can't. Two weeks in a row we met some school friends at a new play area. One week to play and one week to celebrate a friend's birthday:
We also enjoyed a pigtail day : )

Cheerleader Reunion
In 1986 our cheerleading squad went to the NCA National Championship and won First Place in our division. We had a 25 year reunion this weekend with that squad. Here we are in 1986:

Mrs. Sansom was our sponsor and Bonnie was our coach. These ladies were SO GREAT to us!

And here we were on Saturday. Only 4 of the girls weren't able to make it:
Everyone brought their memories to share:
Our uniforms:
Watching our performance:
It was great seeing everyone! I can't believe it's been 25 years!!!
