Emily got her first haircut today at Kids Kuts. The back and sides were uneven so she just trimmed them. I didn't get any pictures of the actual cut because Emily was crying the whole time and I was trying to keep her calm while the nice lady cut her hair.
They gave us a certificate with some of her hair on it. I took this picture when we got home.
The certificate says
My First Haircut This is a real official piece of paper saying that I, Emily Wilson
was real brave and did not scream or fuss too much
when they took me to this place, covered me up with a
sheet thing, and cut my hair!

I don't know if you can tell from this picture but here's what her hair looks like now after the cut:
One year ago today I worked my last day of work before my maternity leave, and that evening Joe and I went to the hospital so they could begin my induction to have Emily. Little did we know that a day and a half later Emily would still not be here : ) I can't believe it's been a year already.
