Day 2 of our vacation was spent at the Water Park. We got to the park at 10:30 and didn't leave until 6:00. Abigail hung in there with us pretty good. We snuck in a ton of snacks today so the girls wouldn't want to eat lunch at 11:00 a.m. when the park isn't crowded yet. So during their morning snack time we got benches near several of the slides and Joe and I took turns going down the slides while the girls ate:
We also went to the wave pool and managed to get some inner tubes. Abigail and I rode the waves together while Joe and Emily rode one of the tubes also. We spent some time at the kids slide that Emily likes to go down and then ate lunch outside the park. After lunch we hung out at the kids area. Emily finally got up the nerve to run thru the water with her goggles on : )
Abigail had fun running thru the water also and even met a friend:
After going down this slide several times, Abigail decided to try to go down the middle one by herself and fell to the side and hit her head really hard. She cried for a while but recovered.
When we went back to the slide area that Emily enjoys, she met a friend named Abigail and they held hands and went down the slide together about 20 times. Then Abigail talked her into going to the play area with water squirting everywhere. Emily would never get on there before because of the water, but she ran thru there with Abigail and even went down one of the twirly slides. I was proud of her. Abigail tried to get her to go down one of the tunnel slides but Emily drew the line on that one : ) She has to take baby steps.
As we were walking back to our chairs and towels, we noticed how many people were leaving the park at 5:30 so we decided to let Emily swim at the pool near a bunch of the slides and while Abigail filled up on more snacks sitting at the edge of the pool, Joe and I took turns taking in more slides. There was NO waiting in line at this time of the afternoon so we rode several before we headed home.
Tomorrow we are heading to the $1 movie and bowling!!!!
