Day 4: Aquarium

On Day 4 of our vacation we left for Chattanooga to go to the Tennessee Aquarium and to spend the night.  I enjoy the Chattanooga area much better to visit the aquarium than downtown Atlanta.  It's more kid friendly, not as crowded, parking is better, and lots of restaurants within walking distance.  We got a family pass so it will be nice to return over the next year.

Joe keyed in the code to listen to facts about turtles so Emily could listen on his phone:

Emily met another friend at the aquarium and they held hands thru the butterfly gardens.  It's so cute to me how quickly little girls can make friends:

They have a water area outside of the two aquarium buildings that all the kids play in.  This was what Emily wanted to do the minute we got there.  Sadly she had to suffer thru the whole aquarium before we let her get wet at the end of the day : )

The second we got in the car to head to the hotel, Abigail crashed.  She slept thru us unloading the car and me carrying her up to the room.  She slept on the bed while Joe and I read and Emily colored.  Finally at 7:00 we decided to wake her up to go get dinner.  She was out for the night I think if we didn't wake her up:
After dinner we came back and set up for the night.  Joe and I had one of the lamps on to read but Abigail was so wired from her late nap that she kept talking, so we turned out all the lights and Abigail settled down for the night:
It was fun to get away for a bit together.  We had a fun day!
